Welcome to My Midlife Chaos (Or Whatever This Is)

This is the video that kicks it all off. I’m Kara—with a K—and this channel is my little corner of the internet to talk about midlife in all its weird, funny, slightly chaotic glory. Think: work-from-home life, random thoughts, food I love, beauty attempts, and the occasional story time that probably shouldn’t be public—but here we are.
If you’re on a similar journey (midlife, mildly tired, trying anyway), come join me. This is just the beginning.
Yes… I know. Another midlife blog. Because clearly the internet wasn’t already packed with Gen Xers and older Millennials trying to make sense of hot flashes, identity crises, and mystery back pain. But hear me out.
I started this blog (and YouTube channel) for one very specific reason: I have a lot of thoughts. Mostly uncomfortable ones about being middle-aged. And while my dog is a great listener, she doesn’t exactly give the most insightful feedback.
So What’s This Blog About?
Good question. It’s a little bit of everything I think about (and probably you do too) during this strange, season of life we call “midlife.” Which, by the way, no one really prepares you for. It just shows up like a rude houseguest who plans to stay FOREVER.
Here’s what you’ll find here:
Midlife musings – the weird stuff no one tells you about getting older
Working from home – the real talk, not the curated desk setups with inspirational quote mugs
Food talk – because food is my love language, and let’s be honest, therapy is expensive
Storytime – because sometimes you just need to laugh at someone else’s chaos
Productivity hacks (sort of) – more like “here’s what’s barely working for me right now”
Clothing and beauty – not influencer-style glam, just real talk about what doesn’t itch, pinch, or drive you crazy.
If You’re Still Here, You Might Be My People
If you’re navigating midlife with a little sarcasm, a lot of dry humor, and maybe you ‘talk with your hands’ like I do – all while telling stories, then you’ll probably feel right at home here.
I’d love for you to stick around. Subscribe to the blog, watch a few videos, leave a comment—or just lurk silently while drinking your beverage of choice.
Let’s figure this out, or not. No one says we have to.
